Of You Above Poem by Raymond Martineau

Of You Above

Your memory fades into worlds unknown
thoughts forgotten...still claim my heart
chills...loneliness grasps every bone
A path familiar, has come apart

amongst the ruins and winters cold
when sun beams die into the night
in solitude here, I crave your hold
beneath the stars and pale moonlight

restless sleep, you haunt my dreams
consumed by sadness, a cold decay
nothing here is what it seems
a ghostly view that taints each day

And from the darkness, from the brink
alone with thoughts, a devils spell
this silence thick, I'm forced to think
of you above and me in hell
