Of Mice And Men - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

A pint-sized glass
Filled with Cuban rum
Lifting on her herculean shoulders
A cumbersome chest of diffidence
For she is a time-tested elixir
A magical broth of fermented sugars
Transforming man from his murine maquillage
To an indomitable soul with a God-complex
