Of Life And Of Nature My Wonder Does Grow Poem by Francis Duggan

Of Life And Of Nature My Wonder Does Grow

Of life and of Nature my wonder does grow
Yet so little of them I realize I do know
The bird in the Spring does remember it's song
The notes that to it and to it's kind belong
Since birds are quite clever with a good memory
The put down words 'bird brained' seems a misnomer to me
That Nature's creatures are clever the point many do miss
But then like 'tis said ignorance can be bliss
From life and from Nature we learn every day
They are our best teachers or it does seem that way
On their Worldly ambitions many waste their life's prime
Yet we age so quickly and so little time
To learn from life and from Nature of which there is much to know
Yet our wonder of them only does seem to grow.
