Of Angels And Shadows Poem by Johann Graham

Of Angels And Shadows

So my shadow burns.
The smoke cuts through the sky.
It cuts an angel
and the angel cries.
Her blood drips down, down,
down to the ground.
Her blood drips down, down,
down where I am found.
She glides down to me
and sees my face.
Says 'How could you be
such a disgrace? '
I said ' I am sorry,
is there anything I can do?
Can you ever forgive me
for what I have done to you? '
She gives me a new shadow
and flies back to Heaven.
So I picked up my shadow
to burn it again.
