Ode To Those In Power Poem by Christian Biddle

Ode To Those In Power

Rating: 3.5

You're 16, you arrogant fool.
Don't state you're views, don't express yourself.
Just sit there like a dusty book on a shelf.

You're 16, you arrogant fool.
You can't vote, so you don't matter.
Just keep payin' up taxes to make Uncle Sam fatter.

You're 16, you arrogant fool.
Stop being so lazy and immature.
Just keep goin' to school, you're our future.

You're 16, you arrogant fool.
Don't question authority, show your elders respect.
My God- you weren't always this stupid from what I recollect.

But when this youth shall rise from the depths of Hell.
We'll remember the damnation cast upon us.
And you- you sorry fools- you will be damned to the future you made so hopeless.
