Ode To The Body Poem by Dela Bobobee

If man really is a tripartite being
that shuttles the meta from chaff
let the meta be the spiritual being
and let the soul be the other half

my ode would then go to the chaff
that is made explicit in sublimity
but if the soul subjugates the calf
goes to the slaughter in solemnity

the body then becomes the meta
that is made vanity but in its awe
the grand designer manifests matter
like a blacksmith’s obsession of ore

therefore, if the ego becomes soul
and the id begets the full spiritual
let the super ego then be the whole
that makes body manifest virtual

In an awe inspiring way was made
my body systems in perfect cycle
symmetry with the designers fade
from the affairs of our life’s circle

therefore, if the ego becomes soul

let the super ego then be the whole
that makes its body manifest virtual.
