Ode To Lumpy Poem by H L Pham

Ode To Lumpy

Oh! Lumpy, Lumpy,
How I will not miss thee
The day of recovery, I didn't feel thee
Yet! I was not lonely.

The next two days in therapy
I walked alongside a newbie
Poley, where my IV bag hung loosely
While I thought about you Lumpy
But I did not miss thee!

I know who might miss thee:
My beautiful wife Chi
And my good son Tyler
On those hot summer days
When they sweat while mowing the lawn
While I sip my iced tea joyfully
And say to me:
"Oh! How pity for Tyler and Chi"
And I still will not miss thee, O Lumpy!
