October Fest Aftertaste Poem by Mashe Others

October Fest Aftertaste

I woke up from a trancendental hippie world,
feeling cold though it was late in the morning.
I painted my eyes and squeezed into heavy traffic.
Heavy.
Man...

When I finally got into open road I got hit by a motorcycle.
I didn't hit him, and it's true, too.
But I had to take him to the white building anyway.
Nobody else seemed to think so,
but it was fun being the criminal...

Later I saw Mrs. Doubtfire at Divi.
I parked along Recto and witnessed two men
trying to kill each other while a woman sat unmindful sniffin' on rugby.
A few meters away, a couple of guys were under manhole water,
Diving for pearls? ?

Later we sat across Joyce Bernal at dinner.
And to top it all, I got my very own Gita..
Oh, Life...
