October Evening Poem by James W. Spain

October Evening

Rating: 5.0

The clear October evening sky
behind the dark mountains,

host to a full harvest moon and bright stars,
provides a window into deep space.

A night with silver and black shadows,
created by the forest.

Each hill, tree and boulder
offers a unique shadow.

I watch and wonder,
simply captivated by this simple beauty.

Surrounded by the
crisp fall mountain air,

such peace and solitude
in simple form.

With so much
Silence…..
