just another ordinary day,
until the phone rang.
you said you needed to talk,
said that it couldn’t wait.

something’s been on your mind
and you feel now is the time
you tell me you love me
that this won’t be easy.
then you lay me down sweetly
with words spoken so freely

...it’s just a way of life,
you are only human..
...I understand your reasons,
I just can’t believe them..

my emotions start to rise,
as you tell me the news.
there’s no reason to fight.
when I know I’ll lose.


my heart begins to bleed
I tell myself this is all a bad dream
the words you speak,
you don’t really mean.

you’re the love of my life,
please don’t walk away..

you’re the beating in my heart,
the pain I feel to let me know this love is real..

you need to follow your heart.
