Obesity Calls The Genius Home Poem by Shelby Barker

Obesity Calls The Genius Home

When you smell that black pepper
take the blackberry medicine -
What’re you looking at me like that for? -
A few sneezes less
If you take adult dosage, one teaspoon more
because you’re an adult
right?
The ring on my right hand
Didja know it’s a laser?
Shatters even citrus ya know, sends acid
colors all ‘round the place, acidic goodness
the
ring on my right middle finger
We’re in the middle
of a horror movie, look it’s
Godzilla!
I honestly thought he was taller
I gotta warn the Japanese goldfish,
by the time the -
I’m late! I’m late I’m late I’m late!
the fat man has whistled
it’s time to go in,
and put my toys away
my play time is over.
