'Oasis' Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

'Oasis'

My heart is a dry earth,
Lost somewhere in the desert.
My love is a lonely traveller,
Looking for a relief - an oasis.
Between lots of trees and birds,
I would rest of walking this long road.
I would drink the pure water which comes
from a sea that would flow around and between -
coconuts and palms trees.
A sweet wind in the afternoon,
would bring me a piece of mind -
Because of the heavy sun that has punished me,
and now and then I get so tired.
Lots of fruits - strawberries, peaches and grapes
To plung in their tastes like the taste of your lips.
All of them sounds as if they were a dream,
A dream I would like to live eternally.
