O, Man! Don'T Go Unarmed Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

O, Man! Don'T Go Unarmed

If anything strikes you blind
Let it be light magnificent
Some sights seduce you, others nauseate
Neither ironical nor paradoxical, simply existential
The dancing damsels in Vrindavan
The towering peaks of Himavant
The cannibals tearing into babes' bodies
The heartless chauvinists battering down victims
O, man! don't go unarmed
Into the treacherous expanse of gods
Gods and goddesses have drawn bows and arrows
The resultant dalliance or brilliance could be murderous
Remember O, man, you shot up from darkness dense
Why do you twist and turn and decline to return
Yes, to the source you sprang from, Darkness primordial
