O! GANGA
Thou! provider of Moksha[enlightenment],
Thou! life breath of human life,
Thou! inspiring source of great Hindu Epics,
Thou! make us holy by your serene nectar,
Thou! has blessed us with great culture and religion,
Alas! what have we provided you,
Only pollution and mammonism,
O! Ganga thou are retreating,
Save our mother of mother,
O! Ganga, forgive us
I, along with millions of Indians join your cry! Oh Ganga Maa! You sanctify us! Who is to sanctify you? Ram theri Ganga maili! !
