Another, deeper look at the role of nurses-midwives and hospital nurses. I will think of 'Nurses' on my next visit to hospital.

but some nurses only take blood pressures and stick needles in us! well, that kind of nurse is also 'useful'. i like the poem. i hope, IF i have a nurse at the final gate, she is young, slender, gorgeous, and gives me extra attention! bri ;) to MyPoemList. a couple of nurses (or retired) on PH [if i can believe what i've read]: Andy aka Paul Brookes Simone Inez Harriman and my mom was a nurse and i a nurse's aide. bri :)

So very true, that these wonderful people offer the sanctuary of dignity, with a divinity immeasurable. I, too, can relate...and to my own mother's special angel, Norma, a continued lifetime of thanks. So glad I came across this, fittingly as Thanksgiving approaches. A lovely tribute you have written. PEACE and plenty, to you and yours.
