Nowhere Too Stay Nowhere Too Hide Poem by pilar killeen

Nowhere Too Stay Nowhere Too Hide

i tap my foot
too the beat of background voices
i sip tea taking from it
what the day took from me
these daily arguments roam round my mind
nowhere too stay nowhere too hide
my thoughts are blurred
my speech becomes slurred
i dont want too talk
and then theres silence
until they speak on tv again
theres a map that folds itself away inside my mind
nowhere too stay nowhere too hide
cut the connection cause hes past
your gone from here my biggest fear
theres so much more out there for her
nowhere too stay nowhere too hide
he was there for her now she turns too her map
he burned the place he stood in the map
into her heart in her mind too
she still thinks of him if he only knew
theres so much too change so much too happen
such little time too fix these given up choices
we left it there not too begin over again
thats what it showed again
we've nowhere too stay nowhere too hide
gone at the first sign of trouble
i gave it all but we had
nowhere too stay nowhere too hide
