Now That You Are Gone Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Now That You Are Gone

Memories draw me back to the places
We had walked together,
Our hands entwined,
Shared warm caresses,
Whispered promises to love each other
Forever, all in between, I am sure
A million passionate kisses.
So many years have passed.
I visit our favorite places...
Always, the ocean screams your name,
Waves crashing against the shore line.
Oh, we long for you still!
We are so 'Lost without your love! '
