Now And Then Poem by Dorsey Baker

Now And Then

When you've done everything
and nothing succeeds
You'd better find
someone else to sow your seeds
following the pathway
of darkness
where there is no light
don't be afraid of the blindness
because soon it'll be out of sight
careless words you've spoken
come back to make you weep
your defenses are now wide awake
that once were sound asleep
friends encourage you to accept your fate
telling you with their laughter
that your tears have come much too late.
