'Now' And 'more Now' Poem by Shalom Freedman

'Now' And 'more Now'

In the long years of living for what I would become
And did not become
The future was my heart
Now with who knows how much time left
‘Now' is celebrated and appreciated
Made much and more of
It is the Time and Tense most loved-

‘Now and ‘More Now' and ‘now as long as it can be'
And ‘Now; forever'
While the thin future still bears some dream
It is clouded by the long past in which the work dream did not come true-

‘Now and More Now' and ‘More Now' and ‘More Now'
In defeat in resignation in joy and celebration
‘Now' and ‘More Now'.
