Now A Day Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Now A Day

What’s it called?
Top of head shows baldness
He’s shaved head and beard
Now all grown; a five o’clock
His voice’s good, it’s mannish
And his nose’s curved Jewish
And his teeth white far apart
In a way you can say crooked

What’s it called?
His accent is plain, Canadian
His skin is white is Caucasian
Closes his eye to show insist
Eyes are round when telling
“Listen well I am so happy.”

What’s it called?
First girl came and complained
“It is full of poo, shit and paper”
She talked of the toilet.

What’s it called?
Next girl came to say the same.

Before that an old man had asked me:

Did you write of shooting?

He had meant in York U when two girls were injured.

I had not and meant not to do so; it’s being too normal
