Nothing Poem by Enrico Orbita

Nothing

'Twas long ago an angel fell,
and cast aside that darkened Hell,
in which my mind was ever wrought,
and left my soul with something.

But lo! That time has come and passed.
My gaze has since turned long and glassed,
from looking up in search of signs,
and praying I'd see anything.

These words and worlds are far apart,
and cannot soothe the hallowed heart,
of she who walked away with mine,
and in it's place left nothing.
