Not To Be Seen Not To Be Heard Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Not To Be Seen Not To Be Heard

Can anyone tell me the whereabouts of God?
Is he there? Was he here? Will he be in future?
Vouch his presence all the scriptures beyond the faiths
Writings and sayings project him never an unified force
Faiths all in this world frenzied on him as their own
Calling sinners those ignore their doctrine
Putting that apart where he dwells? Where are his powers?
Nature and mankind nearing a nemesis
Is not ripe these times for him to intervene?
The turbulence the un-rests the inequalities
Effected by a few affected are in millions
Unified may be the world but divided are the people
Class creed race color all are engaged in veiled wrestling
Disparities dominate down under the existence
Not an atheist or agnostic I am to question the God
Worried I am whether his role as protector
Geared up to face the challenges ahead?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Tirupathi Chandrupatla 23 June 2013

Is not ripe these times for him to intervene? Genuine questions. Whenever human turbulence reaches a high level it is said that He comes to solve it. Does it mean the turbulence has to keep increasing? Many of the problems are man made. I am sure problems can be solved if man recognizes. We always seem to wait for Somebody to tell us. Thank you for the nice poem.

Let me point out: . Nobel Laureate Professor Brian David Josephson tells, ”The Vedanta and Sankhya hold the key to the Laws of mind and thought process, which are correlated to quantum field, i.e the operation and distribution of practices at atomic and molecular levels” (cited in Dasadhyayi, Introduction, p.xv) , Another book, The Tao of Physics by Frijit Capra can give more idea on this field. Bhagavat Gita,18: 61 tells how God(Almighty) –Force- wield the creatures including you and me. I think we cannot deny the spiritual side as atomic Energy itself is the soul (Atma) ”Ayam Atma”..”Atma hi Brahma” are two Upanishad dictums. I like your comment.Another book “Meditation and Mantras” by Swami Vishnudevanamda, Lotus Publishing Company, NewYork,1981, pp.117-126 speaks of Pancheekaran(Doctrine of Quintuplication) whch is on the theory of creation.”Modern Physics is only at the threshold of the Hindu Philosophy”, Romain Rolland. Rushis are Indian scientists. Sir, you are right. There are three types of truth: absolute, practical and imaginary. To quote an Upanishad example, a man may scream imagining that a piece of rope is snake in twilight. But when he gets light(knowledge) he finds it as only rope.(When he screamed the rope was real snake for him.(imaginary/illusory truth): on deep thinking, we know that the rope was only a carbon compound /exposure of energy in the atoms. So this world becomes the emerged for of Energy(Almighty) , and the Spiritual world is the Absolute truth of Energy: the Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and the Omniscient. Bhagavat Gita,18: 61 tells: ”The Lord abides in the hearts of all beings, O Arjuna, causing them turn round by His power as if they were mounted on a machine.” (trans.¬es, Dr.S.Radhakrishnan) .Holy Qur’an,2: 156, tells: ” We are from him and unto Him we return” Holy Bible, John 4: 23-24 tells: But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the father in spirit and truth for such the Father seeks to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth.” Kenopanishad, sloka,2, tells that by whose presence(power) our sensory organs function that is atma (Biomagnetic Energy, science may call it) .We know Kinetic Energy is only a part of the Potential Energy. Those who do not know this Unity in Diversity tell “Us” and “Them”/You and I etc. and make quarrels. This realization increases Bhakti and brings Mukti(Liberation from cares and worries) .Religions should really lead men to liberation. Now the institutionalized religions for power and money(Worldliness instead of Spirituality) make animosity among people. In this situation, sir m your poem is thought provoking. So confusing. Kindly read my poem Brooding at Ramdan in this site.
