Not Settled So Far

Eyes closed in delight
Mind opened in doubt
Debt settled in past
Fragrance spread in galore.

Garland danced
Among bushes
Heart gazed for
Gentry touch.

Emotions converged into fury
And the poet shouted with gun
Where is he?
He has gone at last.

He was at her sight
Sat aside her right
Right below her knee
Not settled so far.

    I am just speechless.A vivid pen-picture.It's like Joydev's Geetgobindam- - - Dehi podo-pallava-mudaram! But not settled, because, there's confusion, dubiousness.Fab.10+++++ (Report) Reply

Wow! Not sure what's going on in this poem Sekharan, but it's awesome! Poets shouting with guns, sounds a little scary lol. (Report) Reply

Hmmm, poets and guns do not go well together.
Guns are much too emotional and often go off with a bang.
And they cannot be trusted often saying they are unloaded or the safety is on.
Poets on the other hand are observers in their right.
Often just innocent bystanders in the middle of a fight.
But do not be worried they often come through unscathed.
The poet and his gun often talking all about someone and his death. (Report) Reply

poet Charles Stuart Calverley

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —

For forty years from dawn to dark —
Alone beside Caermarthen Bay.
