Not Just A Flower Poem by Emmanuel Arunee Mwanza

Not Just A Flower

Just keep flourishing
And daring
For you are not just a flower,
You are not just beautiful,
I watch your hair fly with winds
When you coming
I become like a bee, I sense your scent
And my eyes crave to see you,
My seventh wonder of the world,
Of course in my love world you are the only wonder
We're like the reverse of nature of the bees and flowers
Where bees follow all the way,
but when you coming
I sense and patiently wait
So, I hug you and hold you like a baby in my hands
Like the most delicate and beautiful thing
Like, I don't want a part of your branch to break
Not even a thought of breaking your beautiful heart
You…are not just a flower
Be still, let me care for you
Let me be the seasons to you
Let me pour my rain of love on you
Let me draw the rainbow of love upside down,
As a sign between us that I would never destroy your beautiful face with tears again
So you can smile eternally
Shining is what I would be from my waking up to the evening
So you can glow,
So you too can shine,
You are a flower to be nurtured under my every other season, beautiful lady
