Not A Beggar After All! Poem by Soumya Dash

Beggars may beg for a lifetime
not capable that they're for anything else
I am begging you for some of your love
But that doesn't makes me a beggar for sure...

I know I love you, you know it too
I want some love too only from you
Whoever I may be, I am just a common guy
I need some love, isn't it understood by you?

I know your problems, you have told me many times
I understand those things, but still there are times
when this heart listens nothing else, none of my pleas
What should I do in those moments, dear, tell me please..

Of now, this instant, I decide to forget everything
Wont bother you with my so silly questioning
Will take on my life, whatever keeps coming
but i know after some days, this heart
this very stupid heart, will again start asking

Let me tell you again how much I love you dear
But if you dont give an answer, any perfect answer
My ego may not let me then, to beg you for-ever..

Then I may leave and move on with my life
thinking I gave my best try with you,
and you were the one who didnt want it to work
I'll be satisfied as I did try all whatever
possible was on my part! and I'll move on..

For now, I am waiting for you
forgetting all my past and future...
