Nostalgia Poem by Ratri Mandal

Nostalgia

Ten years have passed, things have changed,
You and me will never be the same,
While I have gained and lost so much on my way,
You too changed just a bit, but those trees don't tower over you today,
I may go anywhere or may not, stay here or far away
Well I'm still here, and you too with me, but still so ten years away
It's not home that makes me so nostalgic, but it's the time that I spent ten years back,

And it would never ever come back, take me out I'm again diving into that glorious past,
But when I come back again to the present, your memories will always stay, still so ten years away, so near to the soul, but so far away
So so far away

And whenever I remember the time when I used used to be little
So little, that little was known to me that your trees were like big brothers giving me shade
Growing up I used to think, 'Maybe it's not the best place to live in'
But good times do what luxury can't
Grandeur can be lost, but wonderful moments of the past can never be taken away

Alas! that time will never ever come back, I still think of diving into that glorious past,
But again I'm in the present, your memories will always stay, still so ten years away, so near to the soul, but so far away
So so far away
