North And South Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

North And South

North and South

I found my eyes acting Oyster

Pearls dropped from them
Tear drops fell down is a class

“In Seoul I was told of them
‘They are dangerous’
here I see North Koreans in flesh and blood
They are my half, separated by corruption…”

She said after the Northern.

Northern wisely commented:

“South Koreans are my siblings.”

I thought of:

Germany
Yemen
Chaco
Kurdistan
Baluchistan
Congo
And much much more

And SCISSORS

And pearls kept falling from my eyes
Pearls made of my warm salty teardrops
