Nocturne Ii, Night's Song Poem by Kate Wiley

Nocturne Ii, Night's Song

Rating: 5.0

Midnight wind rushed through
Wild trees in dark milieu-
They bowed their heads
And danced a pas de deux.
The rain played its own melody
With blowing drops of euphony
Beating drums of destiny.
Dashing down the depths headlong.
I stepped into that piquancy
And heard Night's deep song.
The rolling skies above me joined
Into that symphony of song
And swept me into music sweet
Which echoed all night long.
