No Words Needed Poem by Michael Ernst

No Words Needed

They say a picture is worth a thousand words
Same for a tattoo, would'nt you agree?
Most are inked for showing off
But some are not for others to see

Some are quite simple, almost unseen
Many more are vibrant and bold
Or maybe just a grey name or phrase
Others huge scenes in color, complete stories told

I myself have only two
But I got a late start
One's an eye on my hand
The others over my heart

It's not an intricate design
The artwork not great
Just a simple headstone
R.I.P. M.K.E. and a date

No words needed
