No Soul To Sell Poem by Robert Green

No Soul To Sell

No soul to sell
Nor new tale to tell
Taken by a lover
To do with, whatever.

 My stories not new
Payment in leu
Picture, lonely man, stooped, stopped on pavement.
No mistake, I'm no saint.

Not a tale of woe
But seeds did sow
Of a lovers trust
A daggers thrust.

A story of intensity
Of damage immensely
Of a love now past
That did not last.

Abandoned with a sigh
To leave you to die.
A tale I tell
Of a lifelong spell.
