No Said The Rainforest Poem by Vera Sidhwa

No Said The Rainforest

Rating: 5.0

The rainforest's green,
It's lion's growly roar,
And it's screeching parrots.
It drank some acid rain today.

The rainforest' green today,
Tattered and torn.
Acid rain wore out this forest.
It's canopy terrifically worn.

The environmentalists frowned.
People all around cried in loud sounds.
But the green universal protest,
Made no difference.

It saved no canopy.
It didn't save the lion,
And the parrot screeched louder.

Even though the green forest said no.

A powerful poem, only time will tell if anything can be saved. A fantastic poem.
