No Peace Prize Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

No Peace Prize

Rating: 5.0

Hours after Nobel Peace Prize
Pakistan has failed to seize
Golden opportunity to work for world peace
Yusuf Malal's* proposal is put on hold to freeze

Both Nobel laureates knew it in advance
That peace in his region has no real chance
The religious fanatics is on rise
Not a factor to be taken as surprise

The shelling has been resumed
The exodus has been unwillingly performed
Thousands have moved to safe place like in refugee camps
Where you may find darkness under lamp

The blood thirsty and crazy people for land
Under the name of religion wants to befriend
Grab at any cost for the annexation
How can any country afford relaxation?

The exchange shall take place
May be losses at both the sides
Yet it is inevitable and unfortunate
Forces are ready to retaliate

The political leaders have failed
Many stalwarts are in jail
So many are on the way
The nation may find its way

The opposition criticizes aimlessly
Whereas there is real need to express solidarity
Come out with statement of togetherness
And present unified approach on the face
