No One Poem by Yewande Adedokun

No One

No one says the truth
Whoever chooses to say it knows
They stand to loose a friend

No one sings a love song and mean it
How can one sing such without the fear
If the love will last till the 'Morrow

No one is truly happy
We only wear our smiles for a moment
When the good comes in a flash

No one wants to die
The world is cruel they say
Yet no one wants to fight a war they will never return from

No one knows how to mourn
Soon we justify the mind with 'moving on'
But the truth is, we never prepared for it to happen
But it did and we are sorry

No one sees the future
But we all don't know this
If we did, we won't believe in new things

No one is better than the other
We are quick to believe we are better than some
And some are better than us
But who is seen as the best amongst us?

No one understands God
Yet we believe what we learnt he said
And believe he exist, I believe also
But who can help us affirm where he is?

No one truly bares a name
We are just called a certain word that was given a meaning

No one knows exactly what they say
But it seem they know as they seem wise at the thought of their words
Soon, they act contrary to what they say
Because they themselves forgot what they said
But things like that the rest of us recollect
