For many years, I've hid under this smile
Little did you know I've known for a while
My self esteem has hit the floor
Through my life I've felt ignored
You do not know my past
It would drive you mental, really fast
From a distance I stare
You don't wonder, so I don't dare
Behind this smile hides the pain
You wouldn't think it crazy, it's not a game
You talk around in that way, saying 'thats gay'
You wouldn't think twice either way
But I'm not deaf, I can hear
It's all a game, you think I can't bare
I laugh along, but can't you see
Each word a stab at me
If you'd look closely, you would know
Behind this smile tears do flow
