I miss you more than words can say
I hold your hand, you cannot stay

I know it is your time to go
I watch your breathing getting slow

I feel a tear roll down my face
You have gone to that other place

At least now you are free from pain
Our lives will never be the same

My darling Dad so big and strong
is left so frail and that is wrong

I sit by your bed and kiss your face
You have gone to that other place

Goodnight my angel, my Dad, my friend
