No More Poems Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

No More Poems

I wish to write Poems no more,
“Why’s that? ” ~ I hear you ask,
To find words to put in rhyme and scan,
It is an arduous task.

For the last eight years, I’ve penned my Poems,
More than 490 poems I’ve wrote,
Poet’s Block I’ve had before,
And you know it is no joke.

In Rhyme and Scan I’ve put my words,
Poems Religious and others too,
Some short, some long, and very long,
I’ve written for you to view.

The Old Testament in “A” to “Z”,
“The Men From Jewvius” I’ve described to you,
The Scenes I’ve seen, and Memories,
All in Poetry for you.

Is it not time to lay down my pen?
In two weeks Sixty-five I’ll be,
Maybe I’ll rest, lay down my pen,
Till more words HE’ll send to me.
