No More Games Poem by Jesse Artley

No More Games

They say the worst prison is the one you make for yourself;
But I just want to find a way out of this hell
Why can't I just get up and move on from you
What did you expect me to do?
I was never a superhero, I let you know right from the start,
But I should've known better then to ever let a woman hold onto my heart
Turns out you just let me in so you could play your sick little game
Nothing changes that fast, pick your story and get it straight
Love? I see through all you're petty little lies, forcing me to hate.
As much as it kills me to think, I still love you, with all these tiny fragile pieces
But that don't change the fact that it just won't be the same
