No More Cat's Lives

Rating: 5.0

Speak I to you
And you to me
Honestly
Blatantly
Death escaped
You this once
Fire waits
In damned hell

After after reading this I was reminded of that type of person (all of us? ?) who says, right after a bad experience, I'll never do that again! As soon as the painful event is a memory, well...old habits never seem to go away. You have a great handle on human nature. Tremendous poem, Richard.

You're so right re: old habits, M.J. Unfortunately, this was an attempted suicide.
