Nighttime Wonderings

I couldn't sleep last night
So I sat staring at the sky
Gazing at the blazing lights
Of comets passing by
On each star that burned
I placed a memory
Or one of all the deep dark thoughts
That buzzed deep inside of me
I smiled as I watched and wondered
At this space so vast
Then with my shoulders lightened
I fell asleep at last.
