Nightpath Poem by Mohammed Hassan (Piracy In The Mediterranean)

Nightpath

Rating: 4.0

live and let live to see others die
try to survive on the other side
be your savior no one even cares
be yourself and bear the rough waves

I was thrown out of the wrecked ship
to an island manned by a hundred webs
I struggled more and more to survive
on the enchanted island no one's alive

the undefeated mariner
of all times came
the greatest fantasy monster
of all journeys to face!

I leaked my fears out of my head and let them drown
I faced the serpent with the tears of all the dead
I searched the beauty with my sense of tragedy
no man ever falls upon a velvet ground to face himself
