Nightmare Poem by Sammi Lee

Nightmare

I saw a girl standing there
Smiling, wavering to me
So dim was the light
As if I lost touch with fact
Fear stopped me
Curiosity spurred me
wondering the shape of her lips
and the color of her eyes
I captured was only her voice
mellifluous, and bewitching
thinking her tongue must be good-tasting
Nightingale was singing
'Come here
Coronation is awaiting you'
I came up tremblingly
Staring her motionlessly
Where was the crown?
Only fetter was around!
I saw I was running
The angel headed girl was laughing
Turning into a witch
Pulling out my heart
I asked what color it is.
