Night Smile Poem by Ana Burnhep

Night Smile

She braided her hair

Then laid upon the bed

A smile crept onto her face

The night was warm

And the moon would soon lull her to sleep

But first her mind would travel

Visiting each star

With her right eye

Then her left

Rehearsing the thoughts of

Her wonderful life ahead

And she smiled once more

Because she knew

But not yet how

Very great she would be
