Night's Embrace Poem by Carolyn Sears

Night's Embrace

Rating: 1.5

I stand In the sand
With open arms,
Eyes crying all alone,
Watching the sunset
Hide,
Beyond the tree top.
Heart is empty hollow
As a drum~
Standing beneath the starry
Sky,
Open arms welcomes the
Night's embrace
Kisses the tears that drippled
Down my face~
Smothering embers that once
Had a flame~
Standing In the sand with
Open arms~
Welcomes the Night
Embrace~
Beneath the starry sky I
Stand~
Welcome's the night
Embrace~

I feel a lot of your lines express a genuine grief and communicate your experience in a truly poetic way.
