Night's Call Of Madness Poem by Tim Vallie

Night's Call Of Madness

Why am I awake you ask?
Why do I not rest?
I've yet to finish this night's task
I've yet to do my best
Could it be that I yet dream?
Could it be that I'm asleep?
If it were I would rejoice and scream
If it were I'd jump and leap
I've yet to finish my task this night
I've yet to do my work
Where in the darkness is the light?
Where in shadows hidden dirk?
Why is it these riddles come?
Why is it not a story true?
Because in darkness dreams may come!
Because madness comes to you!
These words are strange to all but I
These words may ring untrue
This tale is madness to mine own eye!
This is madness is meant for you
Why am I awake you ask?
Why do I not sleep?
Because I have yet to finish my task
Into your mend let madness seep
These rhymes are but insanity
These rhymes madness given words
Meant to madden all humanity
Meant to give madness wings like birds
Why am I awake you ask?
Why do I not dream?
Because you've yet to receive you're task
Because these words aren't what they seem
Answer the call of madness
Answer this call you read
Answer this call with gladness
As you dream within your bed
Let insanity awaken in the dreams you bury deep
Let insanity fill your heart, and into your mind seep
Why am I awake you ask?
Why do I not dream?
Go now and fulfill your task!
Let your madness rule your dreams!

Answering the call of madness is not everyones cup of tea....a few lucky individuals of headpiece extra can claim such an art....theres a kind of madness which is much better than the inert sanity of the world...
