NIGHT PRAYER

Almighty all loving God
I thank you for the good things in my life
Asking forgiveness for my sins.
Let me walk in light
With no terror of the dark
Speak truth for the Lord Jesus Christ
Have no fear and turn the other cheek
Love my neighbours as my family
Stand against the demons of Hell.
Take my soul this night into your loving care
Let me awake in the morning
Fresh and ready to walk bathed in your light
Safe from the dark tides of sin.

Poem of the Day

poet Sara Teasdale

Only in sleep I see their faces,
Children I played with when I was a child,
Louise comes back with her brown hair braided,
Annie with ringlets warm and wild.
