Night Of The Living Dead(Tanka)

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD

look like living dead
I zombie...you good girl ghoul
Halloween Party
one drink too many both feel
as hideous as we look

LEAD KINDLY LIGHT

all night the candle
sees me through storm that rages
outside my window
now as dawn defeats storm
it gutters...its light...fading

YOU HAVE TO THROW A SIX TO START

I was always naughts
& you were always crosses
snakes to my ladders
us...a game of tic-tac-toe
here even winners...losers

THE BREAKDOWN

shrimp staring at me
their little eyes daring me
to...go on...eat them
seemed to cheer even though dead
when I pushed aside the plate
