Night Night Dad Poem by Barbara Clafton

Night Night Dad

I said a little prayer today
for one who, sadly went away,
to somewhere he can watch from high
and wipe away the tears I cry.

This really makes me feel so sad
I never said 'Goodnight' to Dad.
But somewhere in the sky tonight
another little star's alight.
All regrets and shames are gone
and in my heart he will live on.
