Night After Night Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Night After Night

Night after night
i use to fantasize of you cuddled
with me there in my bed
and as we lay we'd fall asleep
until the early hours of the morning,
rising with the sun.

Night after night
we would talk
On the phone for hours
Until we called it a night
Then behave like we haven't
Seen each other in awhile
Whenever i kept you company

Night after night
There was me
Anxiously awaiting to
Get next to you
Just your touch was enough
To have me in my emotions
Seems so easy when
Things weren't so simple
The moment i invite you in
Love would live here
Always and forever

Night after night
I would discover
Something my heart
Has always wondered
Found there in your
Pretty brown eyes
You were a mystery until now
Still you've touched me unlike any has before
Maybe that's why i desired you a little more

Night after night
My heart soared to unfathomable heights
i would leave the world behind
For moments at a time
To feel eternal joy
