When You Think Of Darkness You Think Of Night,
But What True Darkness Is, Will Leave You A Fright;
Despair Abound, Your Name Rung Loud,
I Call Out To The Night, Your Name Alone;
All That Answers Is A Deathly Tone,
Silence It Says, Silence It Knows,
For I Have Lost What I Needed,
In The Darkness,
Alone.
Now Think Of The Cold;
Deep Enough To Fill Your Spirit;
And In That Freezing Cold, Every Fear,
Every Name, Disappointment Held Shackled;
To Hold Down Your Soul, To Stop Your Heart Beating,
To Take Away Your Pride, And Hide What's Inside;
It's Better This Way, Please Just Keep Away;
There's Nothing You Can Do To End This Fray;
This War Inside, Will Never Be Won;
Ghosts Of What Once Was, Lies Of What Are,
Now As You Hide Away From The Light,
Now As You Notice That Glimmer,
The Light Illuminates,
The Crevices Best Left Untouched,
Tell Me;
What Is Night?
