Night Poem by Tsunami HiroshiSu

Night

Day light fades away
Sun is replaced by moon
Clouds turn into stars
Night comes quickly here

Humans hide away
Bathed in artificial light
In the comfort of their own homes
Afraid of the night

What is there to be afraid of?
Creeping shadows?
Dark evil shapes?
That’s what’s there to be afraid of.

But shine a light upon the scene
And the shadows slink away
Just a chair.
What is there to be afraid of?

We humans fear that which we do not know
That which we cannot see
That which we do not understand
We fear the unknown.

But come the sun
The darkness fades away
Nothing there.
Just a chair.
